Mobile apps for iOS and Android.

We build mobile apps for your customers or your own staff. The work usually includes the backend, API and admin view the app depends on.

Chosen for the need, not out of habit

  • Cross-platform

One codebase for iOS and Android when the app does not need device-specific features. Often the easiest to maintain.

  • Native

When the app needs deep device integration or the best possible performance.

  • Mobile-first web app

When the app does not need to be in the app stores. Runs in the browser and updates instantly.

What a mobile app needs around it

  • Backend and API

Data, users and business logic on a server that a web version can use too.

  • Sign-in and notifications

User accounts, permissions and push notifications where needed.

  • Release preparation

Builds, store listings and the information App Store and Google Play review requires.

  • Maintainability

Operating systems change every year, so the app is built to be easy to service.

Six phases, the same people.

  1. 01

    Definition

Goal, users, constraints and the smallest useful first release.

  2. 02

    Design

User flows, data model, architecture and interface are designed before the build.

  3. 03

    Build

Built in short iterations, with a working version visible throughout.

  4. 04

    Testing

Automated tests, accessibility and security are checked before release.

  5. 05

    Release

Deployment, monitoring and, where needed, migrating data from the old system.

  6. 06

    Ongoing development

Fixes, improvements and new features based on real use.

Does a business need a mobile app, or is a web app enough?
A web app is often enough if users do not need the app stores, offline use or special device features. A mobile app makes sense when it is used daily, notifications matter, or features such as the camera or location are needed.
How much does a mobile app cost?
It depends on scope, integrations and maintenance. We go through your needs in a short initial conversation, and you get an estimate before any development starts.
Do you handle the app store release?
We prepare the release: builds, store listings and the information required for review. The app is usually published under the company's own developer account so it stays under your control.
How is the app maintained after release?
iOS and Android are updated every year, so apps need regular servicing. The scope of maintenance is agreed separately.
