Web applications built for real work.

We build web applications that solve a real task or business problem. They run in the browser, so there is nothing to install.

Browser-based systems

  • Internal tools

Replace spreadsheets, email threads and manual steps with a single application.

  • Customer portals

Customers see the status of their orders, documents or projects themselves.

  • SaaS products

Your own software product with accounts, permissions and billing.

  • Marketplaces

Two-sided services where supply and demand meet.

  • Dashboards and reporting

Data from several sources in one view to support decisions.

  • Booking systems

Availability, pricing and payments in your own service.

More than an interface

  • Users and permissions

Sign-in, roles, and who can see and change what.

  • Data model

A database designed so the application can grow later.

  • Integrations

Payments, email and your existing systems through their APIs.

  • Deployment

Environments, logging and error monitoring in production.

Not everything needs to be built from scratch

We can continue developing an existing application when the source code and environments are available, or replace it in stages. We start with a review so we know what is worth keeping.

Six phases, the same people.

  1. 01

    Definition

Goal, users, constraints and the smallest useful first release.

  2. 02

    Design

User flows, data model, architecture and interface are designed before the build.

  3. 03

    Build

Built in short iterations, with a working version visible throughout.

  4. 04

    Testing

Automated tests, accessibility and security are checked before release.

  5. 05

    Release

Deployment, monitoring and, where needed, migrating data from the old system.

  6. 06

    Ongoing development

Fixes, improvements and new features based on real use.

How much does a web application cost?
It depends on scope, integrations and maintenance. We go through your needs in a short initial conversation, and you get an estimate before any development starts.
Should we build our own application or buy an existing one?
Off-the-shelf software is often cheaper if it fits your process as is. A custom application makes sense when the process is a competitive advantage, or when adapting a ready-made product would cost more than building your own. We assess this with you before anything is built.
Can Kytrai continue developing an existing system?
Yes, when the source code and environments are available. We start with a review of the architecture, dependencies, security and tests, then recommend whether to build on what exists or rework parts of it.
What technologies do you use?
Technology is chosen to fit the project. We prefer widely used, well-maintained tools so that others can continue developing the application later.
Who owns the source code?
Ownership and usage rights are agreed in the project contract before development starts.
